Welcome to one of the most beautiful ski regions in the Northern Alps 

Every mountain has two faces: when at Schladming the world’s best skiers go chasing vital seconds, they do this on just one – the south face of the Dachstein. Those of us on the northern side of the eternal ice don't get as many points for speed but for comfort and unique views over the snow-covered peaks of the Alps. 

With 64 lifts and around 142 km of groomed slopes, the Dachstein West ski region is an El Dorado for family skiing holidays. Ski schools for all ages. Russbach has a kids club ( the bearclub ) and a free childcare facility for toddlers and infants ( age 1 and over) during the skiing day, allowing parents to have some fun on the slopes too :-)    For very young skiers there is day care at the Spatzennest or the Skischule Russbach, where they are carefully introduced to the secrets of the white magic together with other novice skiers.  The bigger ones can enjoy themselves at the Freeride Park and the rest of the family can enjoy some top skiing.

The ski region is practically at your doorstep, and as a Russbach holiday guest you are always only a few steps away from the lifts and cable car. So it is very easy to spend a bit longer at the hut of your choice, to enjoy the sunset and to indulge yourself today by descending to the valley just a bit later than usual.

Winter 2015/16
From the upcoming winter season for every guest in Russbach it will be possible to reserve a free heated ski and boot depot. Ask the Russbach tourist info for a key!
